Papers of the Strickler family, 1791-1898.

The collection contains letters to Harrison Strickler of Luray, Page County, Va., from family members in Illinois and Ohio discussing family news, agricultural conditions and prices and especially the settlement of the estate of Colonel Daniel Strickler. With these are a few papers regarding the settlement of the estate of Benjamin Sedgwick and some genealogical information supplementing that in Harry M. Strickler's book "Forerunners." Correspondents include Dr. William Maberry Strickler, mayor of Colorado Springs; John B. Strickler of Virginia, Joseph and Nancy Strickler Stover of Champaign County, Ohio and Mary Strickler Solomon of Illinois.
